Heritage Hill Outreach Ministry

The mission of the Heritage Hill Outreach Mission (HHOM) is to glorify God by witnessing to our neighborhood through our words, actions, and resources.

In March of 2002 we began renting a building near our church to establish an informal neighborhood presence. This is the location of our Clothes Closet, where each article of clothing is sold for 50 cents. We have a small section for various books, Bibles, tracts, and other literature appropriate for neighborhood families. Volunteers from our church staff this “store front” on a regular schedule. Free coffee and cookies are available to our visitors to create a warm, friendly atmosphere. Volunteers offer a listening ear to visitor’s needs and show Christian love and support. Those in need of further spiritual counseling are encouraged to meet with a consistory-approved counselor.

Our Short-term Goals:
The primary goal of HHOM is to glorify God by influencing local people to serve Him with heart and life. Secondary short-term goals include the following:

  • To give spiritual and practical advice to neighborhood residents.
  • To satisfy limited clothing needs of visitors.
  • To distribute Christian literature to the neighborhood.
  • To assist visitors in locating humanitarian aid to meet their specific needs.

Our Long-term Goals
Various long-term goals include, but are not limited to the following:

  • To build Christian friendships with neighborhood families.
  • To invite visitors to worship with us at our church.
  • To offer further Christian instruction to local people by means of weekly Bible Studies or Sunday services.
  • To provide practical assistance and education to needy people.
